There are two cars which made my heart beat faster in my 30's... The Shamal and the Ghibli. With a preference for the Shamal. The Shamal was issued in the early 90's, while the Ghibli came two or three years after. The aesthetics are very close, with a ta...

... of course, I'm biased toward Red. I prefer the back of the Shamal and its interior is beautiful, especially those sensual seats! On the other hand, the targa element does divide the car in two to some degree. Though these Maseratis are much sexier and...

But I find the 4th generation Quattroporte with the similar design language to be the most elegant of the generation. And with the final Evo edition (re-engineered by Ferrari) it is also mechanically much more robust and reliable 😊 If I was to choose, I w...

For me it generally tends to go the opposite way 🤷🏻‍♂️ There are two door cars I tolerate and even like but it’s the 4/5 door ones that usually get my attention. Not universally but often.

Weather phenomenon starting from the Levant, through Iraq and then the Gulf countries causes sandstorms with zero visibility, turns the sky red, like you are on Mars, pretty amazing stuff, this wind is known as the Shamal

Knowing mechanically they were really not that great, but just look at that leather! So I would choose Ghibli.

Shamal for mi, I had a fantastic Blue Ghibli II, a difficult relationship with a difficult mistress… so now… maybe a Shamal to spice the night’s and empty the pockets

Of the two the Shamal is my favorite. Put it against a Lancia Hyena and the choice gets harder for me. For me those two, very different cars were stars of the early 1990’s Italian design.

I still remember when I saw the first pictures back in the 90ies .. or was it 80ies ? This would fit nice next to my E30 M3 (in my dreams) and Clio ;-)

....and whisper a few words into the ears of the designers... ....I`d propose loosing the grey "roll bar" detail. Beyond that minor issue, I`d go with the cheeky Shamal. Gem.

...and across the roof if my eyes serves me right. Really liked the looks of the Bi-turbos back in the day, still do. Thanks for sharing
