Hi - first time poster. I've been avidly reading the forum this year and thought this would be a good way to make a brief introduction as two of my Blancpains have been slected for the exhibition.
The first is a small crown Fifties model.
The second is the classic Heavy Metal "Kampfschwimmer" from the mid-Seventies
Thanks to everyone who posts here I've learnt a lot over the past year about vintage Fifty Fathoms from this forum, you have a wonderful, exciting, community here.
The rest of my collection is almost entirely vintage, with a focus on "tool" watches; divers, aviators and chronographs of all makes, military and civilian.
I live in London, but hope to get to Paris for the dinner and to feast on the Fifty Fathoms collected there.

a email from Blancpain that they have enough from the models I have, but I got an invitation to the exhibition on 29th Oktober in Paris. So I think I will come to see you guys there. I hope traffic is running again in Paris next week.... The party ends at...

The only info I know is by the former owner. He told me this FF comes directly from the French Navy batch. He bought it some years ago to the son of the former watchmaker of the French Navy in Toulon, after the old man died. It's number 158 and made in 19...
