I guess it's super limited to 50 pcs, but it is a defect...wow.
Strangely, I heard from an reputable AD through an inside rep that the cost and time for manufacture and quality control on the new treatment was underestimated and that they did not properly appraise the MSRP. As a result, they discontinued the ceramic version for a tradition titanium version. I somewhat find it hard to believe that they can scratch ceramic and would have flaws in working with ceramic (I.e. Omega Dark Side of The Moon). Again, it is just what I was told. Your explanation seems more realistic and market friendly.
