2 observations:
Among all the watches I know, I think that the Blancpain FFs are certainly the sexiest Vintage to take in picture.
It is certainly due to the patina of these watches, their plexy and their bakelite bezel.
The other thing is that this red roof is greatly complimenting these FFs, in my opinion.
It sublimates their patina in a dramatical way.

Good question.
From what I saw, many 6542 have a destroyed ( or almost destroyed ) bakelite bezel, while you more often see bakelite bezels on the FFs in better condition. So yes, I'd say that the bezel on the 6542 is more sensible than on the FFs, but let's keep in min...
I looked.....
into it and discussed it also.... As you said a bakelite bezel is always fragile.... But the Rolex does seem a bit more sensitive as it is more rounded up and the steel "protector" Is thinner..... The Blancpain one is flater and the steel around is wider....

... that these shots were either done in the morning or late afternoon? My experience is with fine automobiles, and we always had the finest picture results at those 2 times of the day. May I ask iif that also applies to photos of timepieces?
