The classical style for the first one and though purists would say it should be 45, the 42 is fitting perfectly well. At the same time the full back is very (very) nice and with such a BP famous complication. Moreover the ceramic is very tempting. Have re... 

Obviously we don’t see such reports all the time since I expect everyone is careful as possible, but accidents happen and the risk of cracks/breaks given the nature of ceramic material is factual.

I’d go for the first, if I didn’t need any watch and it was purely another addition to my collection I’d go for the second.

If you ask me, I would answer based on my current collection, and I already have other classic designs, including a version of a diver. Therefore, I would choose the second one, which is different and cool, and I love the material and the complications. I... 

Just kidding...I do have an opinion: I'd definitely go for the first one. I never took to any of the Bathyscaphe pieces. I find the entire Bathyscaphe line visually unappealing. Cheers, John
