Blancpain

Part IV: Bracelet (Strap) I would love to make an 'apple to apple' comparison between Omega's bracelet and Blancpain's bracelet. However unfortunately my Blancpain FF comes with the strap, while Omega Plorpof is fitted with mesh bracelet. But I am trying ...

Thanks a lot for these comparison posts. As for the straps, the Blancpain is very comfortable to wear, but I would have preferred a nice rugged calf. The size is not problematic as you can get ll the sizes you want at a good strapmaker... The allen screw ... 

...a quick trip to your tool shop and you'll have the appropriate size. Forget the expensive Blancpain kit. Also, since the allen key is more secure when screwing/unscrewing, there's less chance of scratching lugs compared to a screwdriver. Also less chan... 

With Used Allen Screws... And I'm not sure that finding such a small Allen Key is that easy... Best, Nicolas

That's exactly the situation I thought these might avoid. Perhaps the socket hole in these non-standard socket head screws aren't deep enough. That's also why I cover everything with tape before I let myself go near cases with anything sharp. Another less... 

But the situation was that bad that my friend asked me to do all the possible to solve it... I tried, then that's what happened... It wasn't heavily scratched, by the way, but it is not a warranty at all. That's what we call ...an epxerience. Best, Nicola...

I like the look of the "shark-proof" mesh on the PloProf very much. How is the weight of the watch with the mesh? Does the metal bracelet add a lot of heft? Thanks for your thoughts on these two watches, and also for the nice pictures to go along with you... 

comparison- although not apples to apples as you said, very informative. I have not worn the Omega sharkproof bracelet but the FF strap is extremely comfortable and very well made (my two cents) Cheers
