I think Breguet opted for the best possible choice regarding the date. Having it match the color of the dial here and in the 5177 makes it more harmonious and less obtrusive.

Have to say this came out really well! I know e of the biggest complaints was the lume on the roman numerals. This makes it way more legible. That said when I saw the Marines in the metal I didn't have a problem with the lumed Romans at all.
