Breguet, Neveu et Cie Sympathique clocks (a quick note)
The Sympathique clock I naively or rather ignorantly thought may have been Sympathique No. 247 is a mid-century Breguet, Nevue et Cie clock. Breguet, Nevue et Cie earned a gold medal at the French Industrial Exposition of 1834.

Le jury central a fiée son attention sur une pendule sympathique, qui monte et remet à l'heure une montre, mise avec elle en communication. Nous voyons avec plaisir que la maison Breguet, au lieu de se borner comme precedemment a fabriquer des pieces d'un prix tres-efeve, etablit, pour les moyennes fortunes, des montres et des pendules sympaihiques, qui coutent seulemcnt 600 francs pour la pendole et la montre. L'enumeration des ouvrages présentés par Bréguet neveu prouve qu'il est digne du rappel de la medaille d'or quatre fois obtenue par ses illustres oncles.

The central jury focused its attention on a sympathetic clock, which rises and resets a watch, placed in communication with it. We see with pleasure that the Breguet house, instead of limiting itself as previously to manufacturing pieces at a very high price, establishes, for average fortunes, watches and nice clocks, which cost only 600 francs for the clock and the watch. The enumeration of the works presented by Bréguet nephew proves that he is worthy of the recall of the gold medal four times obtained by his illustrious uncles.

An example of a mid-century Sympathique clock though sadly sans watch is Breguet No. 60 appearing in a Chayette & Cheval auction (June 2022). I think the majority of Breguet, Neveu et Cie Sympathique clocks both wound and set the watch but Breguet experts can chime in on my thought.
Pendule sympathique à sonnerie des heures et demie signée ‘Breguet breveté 60’ (cadran) et ‘Breguet, Neveu et Cie N°60’ (mouvement), vendu à Alby le 11 janvier 1860 pour 60 francs. Cadran en émail blanc (fissure), chiffres arabes, aiguilles Breguet en acier bleui ; mouvement rond, échappement à demi-repos suspension à fil de soie, roue de compte à l’extérieur ; caisse en laiton patinée de forme borne surmontée d’un lévrier. Manquent le balancier et les supports pour remonter la montre. H. 40cm ; L. 12.4cm ; P. 11.4cm. Le brevet signalé sur le cadran est celui obtenu par la société Breguet Cie pour une durée de quinze ans le 7 octobre 1833. Brevet pour une ‘Pendule pouvant remettre une montre à l’heure’. Le dispositif permettant de remonter la montre en même temps a été le sujet d’une addition au brevet le 7 octobre 1834. A l’origine, cette pendule a été munie d’une montre en or simple.
Sympathetic clock with half-hour strike, signed 'Breguet patenté 60' (dial) and 'Breguet, Neveu et Cie N°60' (movement), sold in Alby on January 11, 1860 for 60 francs. White enamel dial (crack), Arabic numerals, blued steel Breguet hands; round movement, half-rest escapement, silk thread suspension, counting wheel on the outside; patinated brass box in the shape of a terminal surmounted by a greyhound. The balance wheel and the supports to wind the watch are missing. H. 40cm; L. 12.4cm; D. 11.4cm. The patent shown on the dial is that obtained by the company Breguet Cie for a period of fifteen years on October 7, 1833. Patent for a 'Clock capable of setting a watch to the time'. The device allowing the watch to be wound at the same time was the subject of an addition to the patent on October 7, 1834. Originally, this clock was fitted with a simple gold watch.
I am not aware of a monograph regarding the Breguet, Neveu et Cie Sympathique clocks but hopefully an industrious Breguet aficionado will grace horology with such a book in the future.
