flaws
Hi Ivan,
dont get me wrong, the dial is balanced in its general view. That is correct, and I will supposedly not buy the XX because it is too small, as you said. Same opinion.
What I do not like with the dial of the XXI is the following:
1. the colour is interesting and fits perfectly for the red-gold version and the leather wristband, but much less for the steel version with steel wristband
2. the chrono-hour subdial at the 6-position is not manufactured properly: it is unpolished and the surface looks looks moonlike when you hold the watch against the light. This is unbearablke and, in my view, especially for Breguet, unbearabkle. The other two subdials and all subdials of the XX are properly polished/finished. Why not this one ???
3. the 24 hur dial which has been placed at the 3 to balance the dial does not very well show the day/night mode. This could have been realized in a much better fashion. Alternatively, as with the XXII, they could have placed a second time zone there.
best regards

Hi, When watches started to interest me, I also wanted to get chronometers. I really believed that certified chronometers would be somehow more accurate and better than "normal" watches. However, the reality is very different. Many top Manufacturers are h...

Hi Kari, you are right, i might be concentrating on the wrong parameter. Thanks for your comment anyway. I am just not sure what to do and look for reasons in both ways, why I should or why I should not buy. Slightly complicated. In principle the 20 has t...
designed with flaws?

Hi Just interested in what you meant by designed with flaws. I found it perfectly balanced and good looking. Type XX is too small for my eyes for a chronograph, XXI is much better. The small dial at the 3 o'clock position is really not of much use when th...

Hi Timetraveller your points taken. I have the the steel bracelet version and I have to agree with you the dial colour has a tint of brown and goes better with the brown strap but it is not so bad after all. I think it is better than a boring black. Many ...

Ivan, thanks for your repy. I totally agree. There should be some credit been given for the innovativeness and I still consider taking this watch due to the central second and minutekeeper which are fabulous. Should I go for the XXI after all, I would def...
