Gentlemen, I almost forgot something very important regarding the magnetism issue.
I own a Kitchenware manufacturing company. I can tell all of you that "Induction Cooking" is coming to all of us. It is the most efficient cooking method in the world today and it's only going to get bigger and bigger as the technology improves.
"Induction Cooktops" use magnets to agitate the iron particles in the steel cookware. The pan gets hot, but there isn't any heat radiating from the "Induction" cooker, just the pan.
I have to wonder, because of the wattage that is being transmitted, if there won't be magnetism issues all over the place, once everyone starts buying these units to cook with. The efficiency of this new cooking source is around 85-90% verses Gas or Electric at around 40%.
With energy prices going up globally, this new cooking concept will continue to grow. That being said, we have just begun to see magnetism issues in watches.
I think that it is high time the manufacturers start working on this issue in earnest.
