Breguet

not often you'll see these white gold Breguet type XX

The Breguet Type XX in white gold with blue dial and matching white gold bracelet is a rare variant of the Transatlantique series, reference 3820BB. It was produced in the late 1990s through the early 2000s, with some known examples dated around 2000. The case is 39 to 39.5 mm in diameter and around 14.4 mm thick. It features a rich blue dial with luminous Arabic numerals, three subdials, and a date window at 6 o’clock. The movement inside is the Breguet calibre 582Q, an automatic flyback chronograph based on the Lemania 1350 family. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, has 25 jewels, and offers a power reserve of roughly 48 hours. The chronograph includes a flyback function, which is true to the model's aviation heritage.

Sad to say it, but Breguet is so undervalued that this watch would probably be worth more melted down than sold as a watch. It weighs somewhere between 220 and 230 grams, which means around 180 to 190 grams excluding the crystal and movement. At today’s gold price, 185 grams of 18K gold is worth roughly €15,000.

Anyway, it’s not like I’m planning to do that cause I actually find it a beautiful and interesting piece. It’s just impossible to take good photos of it, since it reflects and mirrors everything from every angle… and in those moments, I do consider melting the damn thing down smile  smile
