The 5547 alarm in white gold with blue guilloche dial is my favorite from the new line. After seeing your in-person photos and a few others, like the watches a bit more than I did when I saw the first press images. But most of them still feel only about 80 percent resolved -- as though the creative team hadn't quite settled on a final design phrasing for the rollout. Also, I'm somewhat disappointed that the Marine Alarm is water resistant to only 50-meters. That feels like a missed opportunity to create a truly all-purpose watch.

Tried on a few things, including a few of the new Marines
Had a nice visit to the Breguet Boutique. First up is the new Marine alarm, the wave guilloche pattern catches the light and shimmers, it's very cool! The damned roman numerals are not bad in real life. These are nice watches! Can anyone identify the move...

Sorry, I really loved the former Marine series. But this new "Marine" resembles the carvings made by seasoned sailors aboard a whaler in the South Atlantic, trying to shape their ship from bone with nothing but a knife and hard, callused and gouty hands ....
I imagine incidence of gout in sailors would be low.
Lots of seafood and alcohol intake would be mostly limited to shore leave. Haven't looked at the literature, though.
Thanks for the close ups. Dont they look cheaper incarnations of the previous line? The dial seems to lack any depth or intricacy of guilloche, applied indices look shoddily stamped cut.
There is def mutation in the DNA. Not even sure I like the piercing hands.

The hands, the numerals, te waves on the dial, de central lug, the rotor - where is the gold and the guilloche, what a shame! I understand that it is not posible to make a better design than the original Breguet Design. So why the want to change it ? The ...
