Tough Choice
Thanks, guys. I agree that pics would have been more helpful - I somehow couldn't find where to add them! I'm struggling here. LOL.
Both watches are beautiful, and FX, so is the one you just proposed. I'm very slightly leaning towards the 7137 and like the history behind it but I'm going to go and retry the watches to be 100% sure. I somehow didn't like the 7337 much initially, but it grew on me tremendously, hence my asking the question! Nice dilemma to have I suppose. The good news is that I probably can't go wrong.
Anyone else's thoughts would be appreciated.

There is something important you should consider.
The "chinoise" (7337) has a second hand while the 7137 doesn't. This could be important: I know that some people don't like "static" dial. But you can't be wrong with any! Fx

I have a 3137 which is the smaller version of the 7137. I bought it because it was inspired by the breguet no 5. and also the fully engrave caseback. i have enjoyed it tremendously and i hope you will too when you choose the 7137

Thanks for this. I tend to agree with you that symmetry is harmonious and aesthetically-pleasing. That said, there is a trend towards assymetric-type displays as well. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I used to think I preferred symmetrical dials, but experience is showing me that asymmetrical dials can retain my interest for longer. Symmetry can get boring! It's partly why that offset subseconds dial adds some needed tension to the face. Andrew
