Well, I picked up this beauty off of ebay a month ago, payed $4950, and while it has a great feel of quality, the convex glass, etc, I'm just now starting to suspect it as a fake - here's why: It came absolutely spotless with protective plastic on it thou... 

By stutter in the second hand, I mean that it hiccups on some of its quarter second pulses, pausing on one, then skipping the next. Maybe once every 10 seconds. Not discernible unless you're looking closely at the second hand. Here are some pics...

Are the dials uni or bi directional? (Mine is bi) And should the second hand stop when I set the time? (Mine doesn't) I couldn't find info on what is supposed to be the case for this piece Thanks?

I had the Aeronaval and transatlantic and both were uni...Id get it checked out although the pics look good you never, fakes these days are very good.... If anyone else can help then great......
