What's Coming

 

I saw two things that were wonderful and in the affordable range. First was a retrograde seconds watch which featured a 60 second retrograde seconds complication and power reserve display. The chapter ring was displaced sightly off center, the retrograde seconds was at 6 and the power reserve at 12. This made for wonderful dial balance. The second watch was the two time zone reveil watch. Very lovely. I was more impressed by these two pieces than anything that Breguet has introduced for many years. They were visually stunning, and mechanically interesting.

This is the first of only seven that will be made and in fact, is the only one to be made so far. It is 39mm and has a thickness of approximately 12mm. And it's a steal at only $248,000. Boy, this is one piece that would surely be a crown jewel in anybody...

There is no doubt that Breguet is benefiting enormously from the resources of the Swatch Group. I was dazzled at Basel by the array of new things that they were introducing. This is good news indeed for a brand that bears this name should be one of the re...
