First of all it is the Italian spirit and the passion that I had the pleasure to experience.
A dear friend introduced me to the brand, back in the 90s. I came quite close in contact with a few interesting people from Bulgari and most of them have been a pleasure to meet. They knew what they were talking about and there was lots of passion, no matter if we talked about watches or jewellery. They had been proud of everything they had on offer, even the "entry" pieces. The boutiques have been small, compared to today. It was more like a "luxury" family.
The Diagono LC35S was the first Bulgari on my wrist.
The first one purchased by me was the Scuba SD38S ...
... and it still gets some time on my wrist. The rubber strap it was offered with smelt like vanilla
Those are not in production anymore and today I have to wear it with my leather strap, because my folding clasp is broken. The latter is needed for the rubber strap.
When I bought the watch I thought it was huge, almost too big for my wrist. Things change!
Still remember the Aluminium AL38AVDAUTO which I tried to order at the Bulgari event (June 1998), when it was introduced. It was almost impossible to get one, because they couldn´t deliver in those days. Did I mention Italian spirit? Can´t blame them therefore
Still remember this Bulgari City LE ...
... which was nothing fancy, but good looking.
Still remember the simple but outstanding rings I bought for some ladies and a silk scarf for my mum. Not to forget the white tea perfume.
At the moment I am trying to find a shorter bracelet for this Bulgar-Bulgari Tubogas ...
... and I hope it will be a success. I heard it is not that easy those days.
Today the Bulgari family/collection is bigger than ever before, especially when we talk about watches. Some developments I don´t like and some I find more than interesting. It is great to see what they have on offer when we talk about serious watch making. It was not that important for me in the past, but it is today.
At the moment I think they have to work on how they get more (serious) attention on their current developments/products. Sometimes I think it would be great to see watches like this ...

... in the special (almost familiar, but always luxurious and with Italian style) atmosphere of the boutiques from the past. Not everything was perfect, but it was very special and I liked it a lot. Only the experience in some parts of the main boutique in Rome comes close today ...
Someone is still reading? Sorry, but it came from my heart
Ciao,
