Cartier Santos Galbee Xl Question
Hello,
Been a member here for a while although first post today!
I bought a Cartier Santos Galbee large S/S in quartz in 2005. It wasn't until I really got in to the mechanics of watches a while later that I regretted not getting the automatic version.
They no longer produce my version and only manufacture the Galbee in XL in automatic now. Whilst I know it's not an in-house movement and more of an ETA based mechanism inside I am thinking of selling my old Santos and replacing it with the automatic version.
It seems that Cartier are producing more of their watches now with their new in-house calibres.
I'm happy to purchase it with the current ETA mechanism but obviously I'd hate to buy it and then for the watch to be produced with a new in-house mechanism afterwards.
My question is this... Does anyone know if it's likely that Cartier will start producing the Santos with one of the more recent Cartier in-house movements?
Thanks
