How old is the watch? What movement is in it?
Depends on what service you are looking for, I think. They do service vintage watches, if you are in the USA the watch will be sent to Switzerland and you will receive a detailed list of what they consider needed and a list of recommended, you can decline the recommended portion. They are not inexpensive but not unreasonable either.
Another issue may have to do with movement replacement, if the movement is really old, EWC movements may no longer serviceable due to lack of parts, they may offer to replace it with a different Cartier Calibre, (Goldberger mentioned this in his interview with Revolution magazine.)
Servicing a vintage Cartier
Does Cartier offer servicing of their vintage models? Do they also service quartz watches in the long term?
My advice would be …
Discuss service that you require with Cartier and get a written estimate before you agree the work. Take photos of the watch before handing it over, just in case of any problems later. Let us know how you get on. Best regards Captain

My experience with Cartier service
...has been absolutely wonderful, not least for vintage pieces. Not only was the service and experience excellent, making it an experience in itself to interact with the Cartier boutique in Copenhagen, but the quote was also very reasonable. 5 stars!

I am falling in love more and more with the brand, I am considering my first cartier and I'm happy to see that they take good care of their watches
I had my first internship at Cartier headquarters…
And my first « luxury » watch was a Tank, so I’m probably biased, but you won’t be disappointed with the brand once you’ll get your first interaction not only with your watch, but with the whole house.

And so you’ll be more than pleased to own and wear a Cartier. You can’t go wrong with their small classic and classy designs (plus you have some choice !). If they are the only brand forgiven for their quartz riddle collections it’s not for nothing imho )...
