New leather straps on Cartier watches
To anyone who has bought a new Cartier watch with an alligator leather strap in recent years, do the straps loosen up over time?
I’ve tried on the colourful Tank Musts from last year and the new Tanks released this year and none sit well on the wrist. The issue seems to be that the strap is too stiff. And I guess because of the hard material used in the interlining at the ends of the strap near the lugs. However, do these straps soften with wear as the Cartier sales assistants tell me? I have my doubts but would like to hear from anyone with first hand experience.
Thanks
