Cartier Tortue XL has something not found in medium and small
The Tortue XL has a curved sapphire watch glass that gives it the 'volume' and presence irrespective of the case size.
The watch evokes a tactile urge like a pebble you find on the beach.
The simplified case and watch glass shapes of the ladies' medium and small Tortue allow for more slender watches but then, are they 'terrapin' instead of tortoises?
