For this day and age it may be perceived to be bitty small. But i would hang on to it because trend is going smaller again.
Plus there will be a day that you will wear this and post a photo titled : “10 years ago it was too small”

This one has a special "charm" that I've never felt with the later editions
The latest has improved there, I definitely want to check it out. I've never had any issues with the bracelet, it's extremely comfortable.

I'm so confused when I look at it. Same watch and same wrist as 20 years ago, but totally different feelings. As you said, probably it's a matter of time on the wrist and I'll see it differently.

I had the same problem with my old Cartier Panther from the '80s. Beautiful watch but compared to today's aesthetic it looked like a woman's watch. I ended up selling it, I now have a Chaumet dandy.

I like big
I consider the 100XL because it is a good size for my 7,5 inch wrist. Too big and too small are also not my thing. I chose always from 39mm case size to a max of 44mm. Sometimes it is the presence of a watch to ignore the size specs on a list. A 42mm case...
