Hi everyone! A big fan of Cartier Tank LC here. I was just researching on this model, and I notice Cartier only introduce water resistancy to Tank LC starting in 2008 model (Quartz model with 8 screws in the back). This includes most manual winding tank LC and other Cartier dress watch (Santos Dumont, Ceinture, Tortue, Vendome, etc) were manufactured with no gasket at all. And seeing how many people here own vintage Cartier dress watches, I wonder how you use them? Do you wear them daily or only in the weekends? Or maybe only in a special occasion once a month? Or maybe they always sit in the safe? Personally, I wore my vintage Cartiers every day, to my grocery run and the office. As long as it doesn't rain or I wear a very protective jacket in my sleeve, I would wear them going out. A bit of hassle though when washing hands as you can't let the water touch the crown. I would be a little more careful with my Santos Dumont extra plate as that bezel is very prone to scratches, so I would wear it only to special dinner or meeting.
