Looks like it weather time well. Is it a Santos Octagon or Santos Ronde. Was not sure how to classify it started with "Santos Octagon".
Just checked and it does appear to be which makes more sense and the Ronde would be round. Duh...
PS is Rolex world that would be a Crazed dial which some people consider a plus. But it only is visible at an angle not head on.
Had a look at my first cartier

It's running very well and fairly accurately too,though it's early days ,surprising after such a long time
