Cartier

May I introduce to you my latest arrival...

The Cartier Pasha Meridian GMT 2377

I have been thinking about this watch for several years now.  I was off-put by comments made by my watchmaker who said "if you buy that watch nobody will be able to service it but Cartier".  I took his advice but didn't lose my appreciation for the watch and Cartier in general.  But the more I read the more I was convinced that he was only partially correct.  Although Cartier holds tight reins on parts many of their watches use ETA, GP or other movements that any experienced watchmaker should be familiar with and could service.  With my newly gained knowledge and confidence I rekindled my search for a Pasha.  The intervening years allowed me to hone my thoughts on the Pasha.  I wanted a watch that is subtle (35mm), casual but not out of place for dressier circumstances (not that I have occasion to attend many formal affairs but SOMEBODY is gonna get married or die...).  And my collection didn't include a GMT.  Therefore it was relatively easy to convince myself that I NEEDED this watch.  It arrived yesterday well ahead of schedule.  I'd like to mention Chrono24 and the seller Marc Gebauer for their fabulous service.  Their packaging was superb and everything was as represented.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.     I'M SOOO STOKED!

These pics are yesterday when it still had all 14 of it's links.  I have subsequently removed one link for a better fit.

No sapphire cabochon on this model...

Everybody said the bezel is a scratch magnet and they weren't kidding.

It even glows in the dark!!

One last pic of the newest member of "The 35 Club".  (did I say I'm stoked?...well I am).
