Mid 80's Santos, cracked face
Just bought a 30mm Santos Octagon off ebay from jewelry store in Florida...while looking under magnification noticed it has some hairline cracks in the white enamel face...hard to notice unless you are looking. Local watch shop said it was a factory defect from when new...looks like it might be damaged not sure...very faint cracks across the face, into the date area, etc... Anyone have an idea on this? Should I have it repaired? Local watch shop guy thought not...said to leave it alone...said it's similar to Rolex spiderweb dials.
