Thank you both! It’s a Nomos strap I had lying around. Would like something more cognac/burgundy coloured as well: thinking perhaps a cordovan strap? I know croco would be the classic choice and I like that as well. But then again, remembering that this is originally a “tool watch” for aviation, it’s nice to play with a slightly more informal strap.

I love the Santos Dumont from the 80s and 90s
the lovely small thin case is exquisite and I once had the platinum version which I regrettably sold. I don't think the dial was enamel though but I may be wrong.

I really like the size and proportions of this Dumont. And I never considered suede straps until now. Looks very good together!
