I left the Chopard marketing text in quotation marks untouched: ....."those who love to see life through rose-tinted glasses".
I was describing the passion and pain of motor racing particularly in the early years. The first series of Mille Miglia races ended after 1938 because spectators were killed accidentally.
Even after the 2nd World War when the race series restarted until 1957, drivers at Mille Miglia and other races perished.
So, the Rosso Corsa refers to both the red mist of competition passion and sacrifice .
That same passion still drives Chopard in spirit because of Mr Karl Friedrich-Scheufele and his interest in both cars and watches.
