All in all a wonderful new piece that we are seeing here. One of the first things I was searching for: Bezel with aluminium inlay. Looks good and sounds interesting. Maybe one step prior ceramic inlay? No - hardly this time Basel, for now that's it and the combination of black with red highlights just looks amazing. Moreover, I was very positively surprised about the case back. Saphire, view to the new caliber and still relating to the known tour through Italy by three simple words. Well done!
Also with regard to the new movement's finishing; the Chopard team met my taste again when deciding for a cleaner caliber and more round shapes, e.g. for the rotor (by using CaliforniaJed's comparison for example).
The specs look great, too, and it is an important step for the company's independence.
All in all, the new MM looks like a promising successor to continue the history behind it, and I'm looking forward to see a first live example. Aprospos, your live picture looks like taken in a similar environment as seen in the thread about the Japan convention, doesn't it? If so, I'm impressed that it was kept a secret for so long.

Because that was an LUC watch, I would be surprised to see it come back with this movement, but I could certainly see a dive watch (or other sport watches) spring to life with movements from the Fleurier Ebauches facility. Don\'t you think?
