I'm biased but have some objective reasons too..

 

The Mk.1 models had a different case construction with more mass.

The Mk.2 cases were designed during a period of volatile precious metal costs. Even if the diameter is larger, less metal is used.

Thus, the feel is different on the wrist.

The movement in both versions is still excellent with semi-instantaneous changing displays at midnight.

The large Roman numerals at position 4 and 8 are iconic for Chopard.
