Possibly my favourite Chopard watch offered at Baselworld 2017 for nostalgic reasons. Twenty years ago, Chopard introduced the first L.U.C watch from Chopard Manufacture - (100-pieces limited edition) that had an officer case back revealing the glorious ...  

I love it! My first and favorite L.U.C is 16/1860 with its officer caseback. (Right or wrong, I refer to it as a half hunter.) The 96.01-L in an officer case would be a nice companion! Wonder if I could find one with 43 bees?! Best, CaliforniaJed ...

On two production pieces, I counted more than 40 bees on each watch but that was without a loupe so the exact number was still a mystery. But I know that there were more than the measly 21 bees on the Press Kit photos There were 'clouds' of bees buzzing a...

The L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer hits all the pounts for nostalgia, aesthetic, technique, chronometry and swellegance. It is also a lot more affordable than my 2nd favourite 2017 offering: L.U.C Perpetual Chronograph in platinum case with blue dial.... More abo...  

The case back honeycomb design may rub away after much stroking by the owner. The integrated pusher in the crown is so enticing...alluring...demanding gentle pushes to open up like a forbidden flower. Regards, MTF

You are the one who seemingly secured the first one out of 100, right? "Only 99 pieces LEFT......" That statement is a lot edgier than anything Robin wrote. Must be some sort of inside joke, but you might fill Robin in as he does not seem to get it either...
