3. Vaillante Rebellion No13 - N. Piquet, M. Beche, D. Heinemeier Hansson (LMP2).

Drama all round!

Porsche 919 Car #1 was cruising to a comfortable victory before it fell to an oil pressure issue with less than 4 hours to go.

Hartley, Bernhard and Bamber in Porsche 919 car #2 clawed their way up the field from last place to take the chequered flag after a replacement front axle drive unit.

The victory gives the German manufacturer their third consecutive triumph at Le Mans, and the right to keep the Le Mans Trophy.
