I will publish an interview with Mr Karl-Friedrich Scheufele in future but for now, realise that the FB 1 was not designed to a price nor market research. It is a project of passion and desire to make the best chronometric tribute to Berthoud and then figure out those calculations later.
Meanwhile, FB 2 will have more universal "appeal" for a number of reasons but that'll be a few years away......

it just shows that you have failed. Beauty should be obvious. When people saw the first Lange & Söhne they were just blown away and didn't need someone explaining them why they should find it beautiful or like it. Good design should not be an intellectual...
