What do you like about this model?

I've always been a traditional design person so I'm interested in what from this 'Tech' range is atttractive to others.
By not appreciating the range, I have immediately restricted my Chopard LUC choice by half.
Strangely, I like the Engine One from the 'Tech' range so it's not all about "tradition".
I only just realised the extra pointer and numbers at 8 o'clock position is the date display!
