What I like…
Is the overall color scheme and the fact that the disturbing date at least has a date wheel that is dial colored 😉
But overall it’s simply recycling a watch over 20 years old with a new dial. The current Zagato posted the other day shows how much more the MM could be, so in that sense I find it an opportunity not grasped 🤷🏻♂️
And yes, I know full well that the price point for the MM needs to be low enough, which precludes huge costs and fancy complications but like with the 2016 l, which featured the in-house chronograph, more is feasible with the limits in place 🤷🏻♂️

You guys both nail it. Unfortunately, it has stopped me on several of these MM models over the years. They just have to jam that date in there.
Too bad, because a lot of the other dial detailing is fantastic, and alluring.
Just because you didn't, it doesn't mean that others won't notice it. I always notice every mal placed date before anything else.
It's like a sore thumb. Try to ignore that if you can.

And, contrary to what you said about the brand listening to suggestions, they don't. For years I have been making suggestions that go directly to Geneva and I am always told not approved by KFS...😉 The head honcho dictates and approves "everything."
I only based on the Alpine Eagle bracelet design…
They were quick to update add release clasp, then a rubber strap option and now more tapering…hopefully a micro adjustment soon.
They did remove the date from the 1963 Purists one 😉👍🏻

I am a big fan of hidden date windows
Ideally activated with a pusher inside the crown like a rattrapante or monopusher chronograph. The date window is hidden and you can check it when you really need it. There are tons of solutions. Most brands are just lazy.
