About the dial... hybrid?
I'd always understood that an enamel dial didn't fit due to the thickness of the underlying gold plate, so the solution was some kind of hybrid of lacquer on a piece of ceramic. Is this what happened, or is there less to the tale of how this came to be? B...

In spite of the Chopard lug design, which makes the watches wear better than the size would suggest. But apart from that, what a spectacular piece!
