2016 Watch Goals
One of my watch goals for the new year is to finally buy my first Patek Philippe after collecting watches for 15+ years. I'll probably have to let go of a few pieces in my collection, but hopefully by the end of 2016 I will have one.
My preference is for a stainless steel and "sporty" non-complicated model. I'm not really a precious metal type of collector. Thus, I'm drawn toward the Nautilus.
I'm thinking about either a brand new 5711/1A-010 or a vintage 3700.
For a first PP, what do the PP collectors recommend out of the two.

I think it will also depend on your budget (is it the 23K€ of a 5711 or the 30K€++ of a 3700?). Concerning material, white gold will open many more possibilities, maybe is it a door you might want to consider? I say that as you seem to say from your answe...

What if PP went the route AP did with their 15202 in 2012 and made the Nautilus more like the original 3700 for its 40th anniversary?
