A picture I totally reworked, chromatically speaking.
Ok, the Datograph perpetual is not my favorite Datograph, as I find that the fusion of one iconic watch, the Datograph, with one of the finest Perpetual Calendars, the Langematik Perpetual, is a bit weird. It kills a bit the icon and the fine perpetual. Now, or still, it is a nice watch. The ruthenium dial is quite class. I am happy to have been able to use the last tools of my lab top to give some justice to this one. Best, Nicolas

I agree with your remarks, and I also agree this is a damn fine watch.
To a current non-Lange owner like myself, this would be a wonderful piece to have. Thanks for the superb photo.
Grey dial is a killer

This is a great watch technically speaking
but I always thought it wasn't the most beautiful one as I find the subsidiary dials quite cluttered. The Datograph is for me too quite ahead. Thanks for sharing the picture Nicolas, it is still very nice to look at. Cheers, Mark
That's a tricky question!
These subdials are a problem for me. Thus I think that my attention would have been directed toward the Langematik Perpetual and the Richard Lange only, and not toward a chrono anymore. But it remains very hard to tell objectively as it is still an appeal...

But I must say I prefer this "arrangement" in the Patek chronos compared to the Lange Dato Perpetual. I like it on the normal Dato though. This one really has too much elements in a very small room. This is what I don't like.

and the most legible of the perpetual chronos, in terms of the most important info--time and date. The case of the Dato/perp is better balanced in diameter/thickness than the original Dato, and despite the iconic status of the "simple" Dato, the added QP ...
