As the saying goes, they don't make 'em like they used to. Well conceived, elegant, timeless. And, for the 5196 detractors out there, note how the seconds sub-dial is placed symmetrically between the center and the 6 on this piece - like on the 5196. Yes,... 

You know me. I like small seconds. I often feel on a dress watch a large second hand is too much movement and thus inelegant. Thus, for dressier watches, I normally prefer a petit second. Je voudrais un montre avec un petit second.

The blue dialled version is certainly alluring! - but I'm not fussy. )

That blue dial color really is classic, not merely au courant

so elegant ! A classic calatrava.
