A tie is a tie but not a tie

A tie is a tie, but not a tie.

The blunt man sees a tie as part of a uniform.

The "sophisticated" / "refined" gentleman sees a tie as an extension of his moods & personality.

Much like the lay man wears a Casio and is totally fine with the utilitarian purpose of it

The WIS wears his watches to reflect his taste, his purpose, and personality

The flow of logic here is that we are all WIS - and therefore, should wear ties much like watches.

The beauty of a tie, is that it can be passed down from generation to generation, with the heritage/ambition/soul of the person wearing it, being passed down to be appreciated. It could be a tie you wore when you won your 1st court case, or one that you wore when you received a promotion...passing it down to your son/ protege is almost an emotional matter, a blessing to the next generation

I know a lot of you out there have great ties. Some inherited, some bought with yearning and love.

Please share with us your heritage.

I'll start with mine.
