Advice on how long it should take for delivery

 

Dear Lange enthusiasts, I am very excited as I have ordered and paid a deposit for my first Lange, which is a red gold Richard Lange. I saw it in person a couple years ago and fell immediately in love. Anyway, my local AD told me that delivery will be in April or May. I waited two years to make a decision so I can wait another 2-3 months to see and wear my watch smile. However, I was quite surprised to hear that it would take 6 months for a white gold 1815 manual when I inquired today about perhaps adding a second Lange... something a little more understated I can wear daily. Can this be right? Am I just out of luck here in Canada or is there something I am missing? I may take my time with my second Lange and deliberate over a choice. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. My sincere gratitude,

From my understanding; Lange & Sohne distribution is in the New York/New Jersey area, this is the sole distribution facility for all of North America, Central America, and South America. Their distribution facility in New York/New Jersey area is not very ...

That would seem to make a lot of sense. I have also considered that perhaps my AD doesn't move a tremendous number of units and perhaps has very little allocation. I would think a company would reward the distribution outlets that produce the highest prof...

I am sorry to hear that you will have to wait 2-3 months for the RL and up to 6 months for the 1815. I guess I am spoiled living in New York. I know it is possible to walk into one of the two AD's in the area and for the most part purchase the Lange of yo... 

Visiting New York is in of itself would be very worthwhile.

However, I would be dinged a lot by Canada Customs on my way back. The duties & taxes are prohibitive, especially in my province.
