Aftermarket Strap Hardware
I recently purchased an aftermarket strap that came with a buckle. Today I was at the local boutique and decided to spring for a genuine buckle. I'm not thrilled with what the factory charges for genuine parts, but here is what I noticed.
The IWC buckle is branded, and the pin is stamped instead of bent. And there is a recess for the pin.
The IWC buckle has a far better finish and is marked as to origin.

Also, the IWC buckle has the wicked BRO hallmark for Brogioli...something about knowing the supplier exactly is very cool to me.

I also recognize the molequin pin buckle! 🤣 I love their straps! I would care but I don't want to spend the money to buy a branded pin buckle.

I too like the strap they sent, and will probably try another one from them. There's certainly nothing wrong with the Molequin buckle, but I definitely like the factory buckle more.
