An odd observation about the caliber 240 ... does it hack ?

Just yesterday I decided to check the accuracy and running propertiesof the caliber 240 in my Ellipse in various positions, to see how to leave the watch over night in the best position, in order of a constant run.

I pulled the crown out and tried set the minute hand accurately on a baton / index , which did not work at first attempt.

Therefore I left it as it is (still on the baton / index, crown pulled stil) and had to wait another 4 minutes before trying it again.

As I read in the meantime in this forum I forgot time and looked at the Ellipse again: it had stoped.

Exactly on the following 5 minute index to the one that I tried.

I tried it again and followed from time to time the progress of the minute hand and again: nearly excatly 5 minutes later it stoped moving again.

I would be very curious to hear from others here who own a 240 with a second subdial hand if the second hand stopes also?

How do the other calibers behave?

Regards

Moritz
