An old Omega, a new life.
Hello everybody. This is my first post. Wonderfull watches around here! My today's contribution is very humble, with a watch which dial has been redone, but has a special meaning: it was my father's and grandfather's wrist watch. It is an Omega 30T2 from 1941, and i am wearing it everyday with pride. Hope you enjoy it.

Redone dial is not something relevant here. The most important thing is that you wear a nice watch with a great family story. Hope you’ll enjoy it for many many more years and you’ll pass it down to your son or daughter one day to continue your Omega fami...

but is this not the famous 30T2 movement of the 1940s that won many chronometer competitions beating Patek and Rolex in the process? An elegant looking watch with a legendary movement. Thank you for sharing!
It was the 30T2rg . . .
. . . and 30T2SCrg movements . . . . . . that were based on the chronometer contest winning Omega movements, which in turn were refinements of the 30T2 / 30T2SC. Balance, regulator, wheels, even the click, were all finished to a higher standard, or altoge...

for the informative reply. Yes I have heard of the 30T2 RG which is more expensive that the 'usual' 30T2 due to its chronometre time keeping.

A broad guess would be 1940s to 50s. I haven't bothered to inquire with the company. I could pop open the snap-on backs and send the movement serial numbers to the company., but I'm too busy enjoying them. Here's a shot of the backs. ...
