An opinion...nothing more. Please don't personalise your Roger Smith's too much.
Just my unfounded concern. No solid research data etc.
However, my comcern for the customers who personalise their watches, expecially from high end and high profiled makers like Smith and others...is that in the end..the result is "less" of a Roger Smith.
I think it may be a good thing to reconsider requesting any "special edition" of your own design...maybe something that Roger decided on his own is ok.
Sometimes it is better to have a few identical pieces of value, than a unique piece of undetermined value.
Just my advice from painful experience.
Take care.
Roger's work is careful, and deliberate, and almost every surface and angle has been planned and executed...unless the customer happens to be of a recognised standing to add value to his work...take care not to dilute it.
Even if you have no intention of selling...do not forget your kids and grandkids!
