ARMIN STROM The “Coffret Tourbillon” Tour - Singapore
Last week, 7 November, the Armin Strom Duo - owner Serge Michel and the
technical director Claude Greisler were in Singapore to showcase their
"Coffret Tourbillon" (part of their Tourbillon World Tour) after two
stops - Interlaken and Dubai. A cosy gathering were arranged for some
PuristS, press-members and friends of their local authorised retailer, E'Collezione at the PS Cafe Demsey.
The evening commenced with a cocktail session for the Armin Strom Duo to mingle with the watch-lovers, followed by a brief presentation by Serge Michel, dinner and viewing of the four tourbillons.

Guests were invited to view the "Coffret Tourbillon" in between dinner, Claude, the chief designer of the pieces, on-deck to address any questions.

Some snapshots of the four Tourbillons....
The ”Coffret Tourbillon”, comprises of four different timepieces, and only 4 sets are manufactured.
The naming of each tourbillon is based on the 4 elements - Water, Air, Earth and Fire.
Various decoration techniques were incorporated, and the main point is, the movement, ATC11 is in-housed designed, after their first ARM09 which was launched in year 2009.
Beginning with
WATER ...

18K White gold case of diameter 43.40mm by 13mm height. Water resistance is rated to 50m.
The 60-second Tourbillon is located at 9H, featuring a large balance wheel of 17mm (with Breguet overcoil) which has high moment of inertia and tend to be more resistance to external forces, thus has the ability to keep better rate. The frequency is at 18,000 VPH.
Hands are in white gold.
Plate and bridges set with 44 diamonds (0,1893 ct total, IF, VVS, colour G) as well as 76 light blue and 159 dark blue sapphires (0,8312 ct total).
Inner movement parts are visible with an exposed dial and skeletonise components ... two ratchets wheels above the two barrels were displayed.
The double-barrel provides the Tourbillon a 10-day power reserve.
Sapphire caseback to showcase the decoration and gemstones setting.
Case is with dual surface-finishing.
White gold double-fold clasp with dark blue alligator horn-back strap.
In addition, a blue rubber strap will be provided.
Next is the

Case is titanium.
Platine is skeletonised and is also part of the aesthetic dial-work.
