Beyond words!
Went to AD today and saw in person the TAG Mikrotimer.
To say the least, the watch is incredible. The site of the central microsecond hand flying around the dial with its whirling sound was amazing. A chronograph beating at 3,600,000 beats per hour - ridiculous.
The watch is TOTALLY impractical and yet it is screaming to me.
45 mm in diameter
Titanium carbide coated case
Water-resistance to 100 meters
only 11 built
Pros: amazing, well built, award wining, phenomenal technical piece.
Cons: high price and yet not a precious metal case and a rubber strap (not form fitting at that); impractical (measures only 2 1/2 minutes - but who cares). No date like my Mikrograph (but who cares).
Bottom line - a true prototype.
One wonders what this is going to lead to.
