Simple is very nice too, sometimes. And I personally like this first version of the BB36 better than the current one with a greyish-blue dial, a lollipop seconds hand (instead of snowflake), a thinner crown with no tube and a jubilee bracelet. Matter of taste of course.
And I think it works pretty well with a leather strap too (autumn pic from 2021).
