Bracelet heft...
I have had my BB58 for several weeks now and worn it with great joy. I can say it has been the most frequently worn piece over the summer weeks as it is well suited for seasonal activities involved.
Now the one thing that surprised me about this piece when first handling it was the weight. At 132g it weighs 40g more than my gilt sub when fitted with respective bracelets. On the wrist it is very comfortable and the overall construction is superb. Solid and strong is the impression I get. Not like my old sub which is a bit more delicate...
A few days ago I put a suede strap on the BB58 and was struck by the difference it made. Back on the scale and now total weight at 74g. A different feel on the wrist I must admit. I love it both ways, the bracelet as it makes it a true all round piece to go into water but the lightness of the strap makes it a new experience.... I guess it will be a lot of changing back and forth meaning double the joy of ownership!
Great book by the way in case you have not read yet. Book cover colors even match the BB58
