Brothers in arms - Breguet Type XX Marine Nationale Aéronautique Navale - Attempted census and study - Updated booklet (Type II)

Dear Purists,

Here is the second enhanced version of the booklet dedicated to the Breguet Type XX - Marine Nationale – Aéronautique Navale, initially published on November 9.

In the first version, we gathered and compiled all the information accumulated over decades of study and research on this watch.

We also sought to understand and define its characteristics, and to present all the data in our possession, along with a census of known examples, in the form of a comprehensive study.

Here is the new version, which includes a few rare additional examples, but above all new photographs, new analyses, and an optimized PDF booklet that can be downloaded and printed.

The first version corresponded, following military incremental nomenclature, to the Type I.

This new release is the Type II of the booklet (There will probably be a Type III after our upcoming meeting with Mr. Emmanuel Breguet, Vice President at Breguet and Head of Patrimony… time will tell).

Given the volume of information, we are sharing it as a booklet through an external link:

There you will find a PDF file with a table of contents / Adobe bookmarks, making it easy to navigate between sections, to locate each Marine Nationale number in the census, and to move from one part or subsection to another.

Like the first booklet, this new version is naturally intended to evolve as new discoveries and information come to light.

For this reason, certain entries remain highlighted in yellow, as the figures may vary slightly with new additions or corrections resulting from further examples reported to us or other findings.

If anyone would like their “Breguet Type XX – Marine Nationale – Aéronautique Navale” watch to be included in this inventory, simply send us good-quality photos via private message (a clearly readable dial, caseback, movement, and the watch either on the wrist or photographed as you prefer).

We will be pleased to add it in the next update of the booklet.

We hope you will enjoy this new opus.

Once again, our heartfelt thanks go to all those who have helped us, especially Watchistry, Antoine de Macedo, 4C Watches, Joël Pynson (Time To Tell)…

A very special thank you to Alex, known on Instagram as Watchoniste, a passionate watch enthusiast and accomplished graphic designer, who continues to work generously—and voluntarily—on creating a new cover page for the next update. Feel free to contact him if you would like him to turn your favourite watch into a personalized graphic artwork.

Best regards,

Nicolas and Olivier — Brothers in arms
