You can have simple or complications; manual or automatic or spring drive or quartz, steel or gold.
Here are my 7-hander and a spring drive moonphase (Credor from 2006).
Complication add thickness (the 4 central hands are stacked and must clear the 3 subdials) but other Nodes can be quite slim.
